Technique Blog Hop ~ Retiform

I have to tell you I really struggled to come up with stamps that I thought I could showcase for this technique, Then I remembered that adorable image from Mice Day that had drawn me to the set... No other small compatible images in that set no problem, I just went to the Sew Thankful set to fill in the other retiform grids...

I already knew I loved the retiform card Avis Anderson had done with these images...

I think that while the end card came out nice these 2 colors Charcoal and L'Amore Red weren't strong enough on my card to really show this technique, but having spent so much time on this card I couldn't bring myself to start over. After I was done I used the Running Stitches set to frame each grid, it was off a little and the seamstress in me wishes I would have done real stitching!

I had a lot of fun once I started playing with technique and will me giving this another try!

Supplies: T-3301 Mice day,T-3288 Sew Thankful, T-2610 Running Stitches, Memento Tuxedo Black, White Premium CS, Black CS, Scarlet CS, Black Grosgrain Ribbon, MS Border Punch, Copics

I hope you will try your hand at this and will participate for some awesome blog candy from Mischelle Smith of The Angel Company, be sure and check out the inspiring Retiform creations from these other talented stampers on the Savy Projects blog!

Today Christine Pennington showcases 3 GORGEOUS cards using this set, you can check them out here . I was inspired to play along with Christine, so I whipped up this quick card using a Monday Sketch by Heather Scott.

I really like the way this one came together, I wasn't sure about the bow but went ahead and used it because it gave it a more feminine look.
